Diagnostics on two Maltese paintings of Caravaggio’s school

Before the restoration intervention at SACI school of Florence, Art-Test realized an thorough diagnostics campaign on two large canvas by Cassarino: “Saint Catherine’s martyr” “Saint Jerome”, (beginning XVII century) coming from Malta. The diagnostics consisted in high resolution, scanning system IR reflectography, multispectral UV fluorescence and multispectral color acquisitions. The results have been preliminary to the conservation treatment conducted under the responsibility of dr. Roberta Lapucci.
